It is important to note that a wasp/hornet elimination treatment may take up to 72 hours to take effect. Once a treatment is applied to an active nest or colony, you may see more wasp or hornet activity immediately after mitigation treatment, and particularly over the first 24 hours post-mitigation. The goal of mitigation treatment is to eliminate the queen from the nest; once the queen is removed, the workers will go elsewhere to a new colony.
Stinging insect nests unable to be located in the home will result in activity indoors after initial treatment to the outdoor access point. Most activity will be around windows. Stinging insects indoors are looking to leave, not sting. Nests found in walls and ceilings can and should be removed.
