Tick Management and Lyme Disease

With the CDC predicting a heavy tick season in 2021, tick control can be one of the best ways to protect your family from Lyme Disease and other tick-borne illnesses.

Lyme Disease infection rates are going up, but the actual diagnosis rates are lower than what is typically published. Lyme disease is incredibly difficult to diagnose as its symptoms could be mistaken for other illnesses, like the flu, having atypical rashes on the body, false negatives while testing for Lyme specifically, or symptoms that don’t follow the specific pattern for Lyme. Lyme can impact multiple organs in the body, making it even harder to diagnose.

There are things you can do to help reduce tick activity on your property.

  • Prune back trees
  • Clear any excess brush around perimeter of property
  • Remove any items that will attract animals that can be tick hosts.
  • Sign up for a pest management program focused on tick abatement.

Our Organic Tick Management program follows all CDC guidelines and is proven to be effective in reducing tick activity on treated properties. Call JP McHale Pest Management to discuss the tick management options for your property!
