Meet April McHale, K9 Bed Bug Specialist here a JP McHale Pest Management.  She is part of our Special Services team trained in detecting bed bugs.

What are your responsibilities?

Detecting bed bugs by odor. Bed bugs emit unique pheromones, and I am trained to recognize this particular scent with keen accuracy.

What do you value about working here?

Visiting my friends in the customer service team and bringing them joy! I also enjoy helping resolve my clients’ issues by locating their bed bug problem with my sniffer.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Working with my best friend, K9 Handler Carolyn, and supporting her in locating bed bugs so we can help our clients.  My specialized training allows me to locate the issue quickly so we can put a stop to the problem.  I also enjoy all the yummy treats I receive!

What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know about you?

I am a rescue dog.
